Auntie Son Khanom Jeen (in front of the shrine) Michelin Guide quality for 2 years, truly the most delicious in Phang Nga. Wow, what kind of Khanom Jeen has so many side dishes, all sorts of them. You definitely cant find Khanom Jeen like this in Bangkok, you have to go to the South only. There are more than 20 side dishes that Phang Nga people eat with Khanom Jeen, our most popular noodle dish and almost everything is included in the price.
When you arrive, head straight to the front of Ma Cho Po Shrine, which is a Chinese shrine. They have set up a large tent for selling things right here. It has also been guaranteed by the Michelin Guide. They sell Khanom Jeen like other southern provinces, which means you get plain noodles on a plate (40-50 baht) and then you scoop the coconut milk curry or fish kidney kurry onto the plate yourself. Some people scoop 2-3 things together on the same plate, which is not against the rules. As for me, I grabbed some fried fish cakes (20 baht). When I saw it, I really couldnt resist.
There are so many side dishes, some of which I dont even know. For example, long beans cut into pieces, eggplant, purple eggplant, pickled mustard greens, these are normal for people in Bangkok. But there are some unusual ones, such as stink beans, wild beans, pineapple, pickled vegetables, and things like these that you might not be familiar with. Fried fish (roasted), boiled eggs, fresh winged beans, and so many other things. I could hardly finish them all.
Its really delicious. Its as good as the rumors say. Im taking you to try another delicious restaurant in Phang Nga, a province full of unusual limestone mountains. The entire city is surrounded by mountains. Theres also a famous Khanom Jeen shop in front of this shrine.
