Yak Yai Original Meatball Restaurant, homemade meatballs. I've been walking around Chao Phrom Market for a long time, getting on and off boats, but I've never walked into the Sookjai Market on holidays. I was curious and turned in to find Yak Yai Noodle Restaurant. I read the sign and saw that they sell fish noodles, which are hard to find. Let's try it. But I didn't try the fish noodles, I played with beef noodles first. I'll try it again next time.
The shop is in a commercial building in the market area. It's not on the main Chao Phrom Road, you have to sneak into the alley first. They hide and sell in the market like this. If you're not really from Ayutthaya, you won't get to taste it for sure. The soup is mellow with pepper, a little salty. The meatballs are delicious, crispy, bouncy, and the meat is a little sweet.
Come to Ayutthaya to worship and ask for blessings from sacred things. If you pass by Chao Phrom Market, stop by for a bit, you might like it. It's delicious, give it a try.
