Tom Yum Yai Noodle, Delicious Lopburi, not far from Sakaeo Circle on the way into the city (the route to Phra Kan Shrine, Phra Prang Sam Yot). If you search for the restaurant name on your phone, don't trust the pin on Google Maps, you'll get lost. The actual restaurant is in Soi Si Suriyothai, 600 meters from Sakaeo Circle. Google Maps of Mueang Lopburi District, especially Street View, has errors. Let's call it a secret noodle shop, similar to a speakeasy. It's a bit difficult to find the location.
But you can't miss this air-conditioned and truly delicious noodle shop. You have to try it at least once.
For the first dish, order something to start with (an appetizer). Deep Fried Minced Pork Wonton. This dish is served crispy and delicious. You can sit and chew while sipping a refreshing cold soda. Chewing on the crispy wonton reveals the perfectly flavored minced pork inside. It's great! And not expensive at all, only 40 baht per plate.
Before the wontons are finished, the zesty Seafood Basil Fried Rice is served. Time to dig in! It's the perfect time to eat in the afternoon when you're hungry. Take a big spoonful and put it in your mouth for the first bite. The garlic and basil aroma is excellent. Basil fried rice has to be like this! Then both the shrimp and squid become a thing of the past. The glory from the sea is over. The plate is finished in no time. Very delicious.
This basil rice dish must be paired with Tom Yum Clear Soup with Pork that is full of flavor. They go so well together. The taste is sour and mellow, not overly sour like many other restaurants. You can't make this kind of flavor yourself. You have to try it yourself to know.
