Chit Tam Sang, Kapi Fried Rice, Delicious Talat Phlu, An Ancient Recipe from the Early Rattanakosin Period

Chit Tam Sang with Kapi Fried Rice that I stumbled upon this time. It's because on Saturdays and Sundays I have to find a menu to eat. I have to make the most of my holidays in the style of "Sookjai Holidays" because สวัสดี ออนไลน์ สำนักพิมพ์ considers eating delicious food a small profit in life.

I took a long ride to Talat Phlu, Thonburi District, Bangkok, to taste the nearly extinct menu, Kapi Fried Rice, which is different from Kapi Mixed Rice (they are not the same).

The website of Silpa Wattanatham magazine published a story about Thanpuying Gleeb Mahithorn's cookbook (Click to read) One part wrote about the Fried Rice menu in the early Rattanakosin period that there were many varieties, more delicious than the current fried rice, such as "Royal fried rice with salty boiled pork, shrimp, and eggs. Market fried rice with beef or chicken, seasoned with fermented tofu sauce and ketchup. Thai fried rice with dried shrimp, yellow tofu, salted turnips, Kapi Fried Rice Shrimp fried rice with chili paste, especially fermented tofu fried rice with Chinese olives or Nam Puay, which has a clear Chinese scent."

It's a pity that Kapi Fried Rice was not explained how it was, but other fried rice, especially Thai fried rice with dried shrimp, yellow tofu, and salted vegetables, looks as delicious as each other.

In the Talat Phlu area, there is still charm. This single-lane asphalt road along the railway line. There is a shop selling wickerwork. There is a small, compact Talat Phlu train station. Walk through the station to the Thoet Thai Road side, which is the main route of the Talat Phlu area.

But for the "Pork Kapi Fried Rice" menu, you don't have to travel far to the era of King Rama V. Just walk to the mouth of Soi Thoet Thai 27 (Soi Tuek Chuen Makawiboon), near the Kui Chai Sapan Han shop. Walk to the end of the alley, you will find Chit Tam Sang Restaurant. Try reading the menu in front of the restaurant, and you will be struck by the menu "Pork Kapi Fried Rice". I'm not sure if it will be the same as the Kapi Fried Rice from the early Rattanakosin period.

But for sure, I have never found "Kapi Fried Rice" in any a la carte restaurant.

The taste is medium, like a general a la carte restaurant, but the fried rice has a clear shrimp paste smell. There are no special side dishes. Sitting and eating in Soi Thoet Thai 27, which is a food market, is full of old buildings next to the railway line, including Nam Heng Restaurant and Lert Phanit Restaurant in the past, so the atmosphere is different.

In addition, this alley also has a small drainage ditch like Bangkok in the past.

In addition to the atmosphere of Thonburi in the past, Talat Phlu also has many delicious things, which must be tasted many times.
