Meng Yentafo, Free Crispy Wonton, mainly sells Yentafo, Egg Noodles with Wonton, and Tom Yum Pork Noodles. It has been open for a long time and is a delicious restaurant in the Thewet area, located almost at the beginning of Phitsanulok Road, near the National Library, Tha Wasukri, easy to get to, with many buses passing by.
Here's an update. The other day, sookjai passed by Thewet on a holiday and stopped by the restaurant for free crispy wonton noodles. They have made a lot of improvements, put up neon signs, and installed several more cooling fans. They also added a refillable soft drink menu for 35 baht, unlimited, just like the crispy wontons. You can eat continuously, but if you don't want to drink too much soft drink, you can buy a small glass, which they sell for only 10 baht.
It is a street food restaurant selling on the side of the road, but it has a permanent shop because it has been selling for a long time. To be honest, I stop by to eat noodles at this restaurant almost every time I come to the library or pass by Thewet. There was a time when they charged 5 baht per person for the wontons (eat as much as you want), and then they gave them away for free again. You can come and try it now. The wontons are fried to a golden crisp and placed in jars on every table. Before, the wontons were fried dark (I suspect they used the frying oil many times). Now you can see that the fried wontons look much more delicious.
Nowadays, I rarely come to Thewet. I order a bowl of large flat noodles with Yentafo, with all the ingredients. I try the taste when it is served, add a little vinegar and a little chili powder, and that's it. When I order a cold Coke, it's delicious on a hot afternoon like this.
Even though it's a street-style restaurant, even though it's not air-conditioned, there are only two or three factory fans blowing, but there is Wi-Fi to play while waiting for the noodles. As for the taste, it is second to none in Bangkok for sure.
