Hong Kong Noodle, for this delicious Bangkok restaurant, they wrote on the menu cover that Welcome to HKN (short for the restaurant's name), a Thai-Chinese recipe passed down for over 30 years. The restaurant is located at Banglamphu intersection, formerly near Thewet. It must have moved a long time ago. Now it's opposite New World Department Store, an abandoned department store where urban explorers like to sneak in to see the fish pond.
This wooden chair looks friendly, inviting you to enjoy the food for a long time. Sitting there in the evening, the light outside turns a faint blue. Walking back from the National Library, I was hungry because I was quite late for dinner. I came across HKN restaurant just in time.
Hong Kong crab meat egg soup, like in the dialogues of old Hong Kong movies. We are often familiar with "Big brother is sick, have some soup first." Today I tried ordering Hong Kong soup, but it's egg soup with crab meat. The water is thick like gravy, topped with crab meat. The taste is good together between the egg and the crab meat. They beat the egg in the soup into long strands. I don't know how they do it. Their soup bowl also retains heat very well. After eating a large bowl of noodles, the soup is still hot. I repeat, not just warm, but still hot.
Jumbo shrimp wonton noodles with crispy pork, served plain so you can season it yourself. Jumbo both wontons and crispy pork. They come in large pieces, especially the jumbo wontons. Chinese and Hong Kong food is a bit greasy, but it's delicious enough. Served with soup to drink smoothly. The crispy pork is really good, with a salty taste in the meat. The skin is crispy and breaks into pieces in your mouth, while the meat is soft and delicious. I'm really telling you, this restaurant's food is heavenly.
After enjoying Hong Kong noodles and big brother's soup, walking out of the restaurant, you'll be hooked. If you pass by Banglamphu again, you won't be able to resist stopping by again. There are many more menus waiting.
