Delicious dining at Malakor Restaurant, Delicious Ayutthaya, near Wat Ratchaburana, opposite The Story pub. This restaurant seems to cater to foreigners, so most Thais don't want to risk it because they are afraid the taste will be adjusted to suit foreign palates and not satisfy Thais. But I can tell you that's not the case because this restaurant is delicious, especially the Thai-style dishes.
The restaurant is a Thai-style wooden house, decorated with wooden planks and bamboo, which looks good. Foreigners already like this style. After ordering food, waiting is not long (it's raining and a bit cool), but in the meantime, take selfies to post on social media.
Before I knew it, the food arrived. Ordered 2 menus as usual: Shrimp Paste Fried Rice with Fried Gourami and Chili Paste Omelet with Roasted Coconut. Very fragrant. When in Ayutthaya, you must order fish dishes to match the ancient saying of our Thai people, "Eat rice, eat fish." The Shrimp Paste Fried Rice looks delicious, stir-fried with rice, and also comes with a small cup of shrimp paste. The side dishes are arranged in a fusion style: green broccoli, carrots, cucumbers, and eggplant dipped in fried egg. The latter is very classic for our shrimp paste.
For the Chili Paste Omelet with Roasted Coconut, the omelet recipe is adjusted to have a Thai food aroma, a good chili paste aroma, and a very large amount. I'm alone (I suspect they put in a dozen chicken eggs) and sprinkled with roasted coconut. It smells good and tastes good. I've never had an omelet like this.
Traveling in Ayutthaya is very enjoyable. There are many delicious things to choose from. The old city is a world tourist attraction. We Thais must help each other travel and taste.
