Take a culinary trip to try the fiery roasted pork at Patonggo Cafe, a delicious spot in Bang Lamphu. The restaurant is located on Sip Sam Hang Road, near Khao San Road, Kok Wua Intersection, just past Soi Ram Buttri towards the corner of Phra Sumen Road. You'll find an old-fashioned Patonggo shop. There used to be a large Patonggo mascot standing in front of the shop, cute and charming. I don't know where it's gone now.
This shop also sells grilled Patonggo in the old style, adapted into several recipes, including Patonggo with custard and grilled Patonggo with seafood toppings. In the old days (I don't know how long ago), they sold large Patonggo. When people came to sit and drink kopi or coffee with milk, they would order Patonggo and heat it over the fire, cut it into pieces with scissors, and serve it. They called it grilled Patonggo.
sookjai on holiday wasn't born in time, but read about it from old people who wrote about it.
When you come, order other things too. You can also order Patonggo to take home. Try the Noodle with Tofu and Roasted Pork, as the name suggests, because it contains a very large piece of tofu. And their tofu is delicious too, very fragrant, with a soybean scent. They slice cabbage into the bowl. The roasted pork is also delicious, and the noodles are a bit oily, which goes well together.
The fiery roasted pork that I came for is fragrant with spices, with a sweet taste. The roasted pork is cooked but still slightly pink because it's well marinated in spices. The dipping sauce is seasoned soy sauce, very sharp and sour, with a sweet lead, so it's quite spicy and hardly hot at all. The fiery roasted pork is more delicious than in the noodle bowl. The charred parts are even more delicious.
Another delicious restaurant in the Phra Nakhon area. If you pass by, stop by and support them.
