Boon Soong Steel Bridge, a 200-meter bridge built from the remains of a mining dredge, a check-in point in Takua Pa District, Phang Nga Province. This bridge is important in terms of the turning point of Takua Pa, from being a source of tin mining to its end. Boon Soong Steel Bridge was born.
Although steel from an old mining dredge was used to build a bridge over the Takua Pa River, which is more than 200 meters long, the bridge structure is guaranteed to be strong. Because during the photo shoot, it appeared that many motorcycles were passing by, because it is a normal traffic route for people in the area. It is a route connecting Bamrungrat Road with Soi Khok Khanun.
Today, Boon Soong Steel Bridge has become a tourist spot that should not be missed. For tourists who come to see the view of the Takua Pa River and take pictures as a souvenir. It is also a popular check-in point in Takua Pa District.
In the past, workers from Boon Soong Mining Company from the Yan Yao community had to travel to work at the mining dredge and the Khok Khanun steel factory by rowing boats from Yan Yao Pier along the Takua Pa River, which was very deep at that time. The company, by Mr. Sunthorn Lim Settho (Jek Sun), Mr. Nukoon Lim Settho and Mr. Niwat Aphaitan (Pae Yin), discussed and decided to build a bridge in 1965 using Penang steel parts from a defunct mining dredge.
