Phra Sumen Fort
Phra Sumen Fort is a pristine white fortress built during the reign of King Rama I to defend the city in the past. It stands out within Santichaiprakarn Park along the Chao Phraya River. This unique octagonal architecture with a high, airy roof has been well preserved. Currently, the surrounding area is a peaceful public park, ideal for leisurely strolls, relaxation, and enjoying views of the river and Rama VIII Bridge in the evening. It is considered a historical landmark that reflects the urban planning and defense of the Thai kingdom in ancient times.
