Khao Kaeng Pa Khiao (Mae Khiao), a delicious restaurant in Phang Nga. Don't miss Ho Mok, the province's signature dish. To be honest, Phang Nga doesn't have many modern restaurants like Phuket, and there are only a few cafes. But Khao Kaeng Pa Khiao (some people call it Mae Khiao) is delicious. If you like authentic southern food that's a bit spicy, you'll definitely love it.
We started with sour fish curry (I don't know what kind of fish it was, I really can't remember). The fish meat was soft and delicious. The southern cook added Garcinia Cambogia, which gives it a different flavor than the tamarind sour soup of the central region. It's already a favorite of sookjai on weekends. I got to eat sour soup and yellow curry again. As for the steamed fish cake, it's very delicious. The texture of the steamed fish cake is soft and sweet like a cake, fragrant and inviting. The coconut milk is delicious. I'll give it the title of the most delicious menu in Phang Nga province.
I had the opportunity to eat at Pa Khiao's restaurant several times. The restaurant also has a la carte dishes, but we prefer the southern-style curry rice, where you can pick your own vegetables and scoop your own shrimp paste chili sauce. I got to taste stir-fried pork belly with chili paste and Tai Pla curry with pumpkin and yam. The southern Tai Pla is rich and really delicious.
The restaurant is on Phet Kasem Road, so it's not hard to find. Phang Nga city is not very big. If you really can't find it, you can rely on Brother G (GPS). It's a delicious southern curry rice restaurant that I've tasted and written about.
