Wat Kalayanamit Woramahawihan

Wat Kalayanamit is located on the banks of the Chao Phraya River on the Thonburi side. It is an important temple with Phra Phuttha Trai Rattananayok, or Luang Pho To (Sampokong), a large principal Buddha image that is highly revered by both Thai and Chinese people. People often come to pay respects and ask for blessings of wealth and to resolve bad luck in the Chinese zodiac to enhance their fortune. The atmosphere inside the temple is shady and peaceful due to its location by the river, making it cool and breezy throughout the day. It is suitable for making merit and relaxing by the water to experience the traditional way of life of the people of Thonburi.
